Look, we're architects, not data miners

We've been designing spaces since 2012, and honestly, the only data we really care about is square footage and load-bearing walls. But yeah, we run a website, send emails, and keep project files - so here's the real deal about what info we collect and how we handle it. No legal jargon maze here, just straight talk.

When you reach out through our contact form or give us a call, we'll grab the basics - your name, email, phone number, and whatever details you share about your project. If you're a client, we'll obviously keep records of our correspondence, contracts, site addresses, and project specifics.

Our website uses standard analytics (Google Analytics, to be specific) which tracks stuff like how you found us, what pages you checked out, and general location data. Nothing creepy - just helps us understand if people actually look at our portfolio or bounce after 3 seconds.

We don't use cookies for advertising or tracking you around the internet. The cookies we do use are purely functional - keeping you logged into our client portal, remembering your preferences, that kind of thing.

Pretty straightforward - we use your contact info to actually respond to your inquiries and work on your projects. Can't design your dream space if we can't email you the floor plans, right?

For active clients, we'll keep your project files, communication history, and relevant documents for the duration of the project and several years after (Canadian regulations require us to maintain architectural records for at least 6 years post-completion).

We might occasionally send updates about our studio or relevant industry insights, but you can opt out anytime. We're not gonna spam you with weekly newsletters - we barely have time for that anyway.

We use industry-standard security measures - encrypted connections (that's the little padlock in your browser), secure cloud storage with major providers, and password-protected access to client files. Our team's trained on data handling, and we don't leave laptops with project files sitting in coffee shops.

Physical files are kept in locked cabinets at our Vancouver office (yeah, we still deal with some paper blueprints). Only relevant team members have access to specific project information.

That said, no system's 100% bulletproof. We take reasonable precautions, but if there's ever a breach affecting your data, we'll let you know promptly and work to fix it.

We don't sell your data. Period. We're not in that business. Your information stays within Pyreveil unless there's a legitimate reason to share it.

Sometimes we need to loop in third parties - structural engineers, contractors, municipal planning departments, or other consultants necessary for your project. We only share what's relevant, and these folks are typically bound by their own professional confidentiality standards.

We use some cloud services for file storage and project management (Google Workspace, Dropbox Business, that sort of thing). These providers have their own privacy policies and security measures.

If legally required - like by court order or regulatory investigation - we'd have to disclose information. But we'll push back on overly broad requests and inform you unless prohibited from doing so.

You've got control here. You can request to see what personal info we have on file, ask us to correct anything that's inaccurate, or request deletion (with some exceptions for records we're legally required to keep).

Wanna know what data we've collected about you? Send us an email at info@pyreveil.info, and we'll get you a copy. Usually takes us about 10 business days to pull everything together.

If you'd like us to stop contacting you for marketing purposes, just let us know. You can unsubscribe from emails via the link at the bottom of any message, or shoot us a quick note.

For active projects, there's obviously info we need to keep to actually do the work. But once the project's done and the mandatory retention period's up, we're happy to delete what we can.

We love showcasing our work (it's kinda essential for an architecture firm), but we always get explicit permission before featuring a client's project in our portfolio or on social media. Your home or building won't end up on our Instagram without you signing off on it.

When we do share projects, we typically don't include identifying details like addresses or client names unless you specifically want that recognition. Professional photography is usually credited to the photographer.

If you change your mind later about having your project featured, reach out and we'll remove it from our public materials. Might take a bit to scrub everything from the internet, but we'll do our best.

We might update this policy occasionally as our practices evolve or regulations change. When we do, we'll update the date at the top and post the revised version here.

For major changes that significantly affect how we handle your data, we'll send an email notification to active clients. Otherwise, checking this page now and then is a good idea.

Continued use of our services after changes means you're cool with the updated policy. If you're not, we can discuss your concerns or part ways professionally.

Got questions or concerns?

If something in this policy isn't clear, or you've got specific questions about how we handle your information, just reach out. We'd rather have a conversation than leave you wondering. Privacy matters to us because trust matters in our line of work.
